I believe the environment you work in, live in, and the way you spend your time directly impacts the way you feel about your life. So, why not start making decisions that help you build the life you’ve always wanted? 

This realization took me WAY longer to put into practice then I would care to admit. It’s what brought me to building this business and is the foundation of my mission as a virtual assistant.

So, how did I get here? 

A BIT ABOUT ME..

At 18 years old, I went to college as an undecided major. There were truly so many things I was interested in – journalism, graphic design, nutrition, child development.  After taking classes in all these areas, I settled on Elementary Education. As a type A perfectionist, I spent my years of college dedicated to being the best teacher I could be, only to reach student teaching and hitting my oh s*** moment. Was teaching actually for me? 

But like any idealist, I stuck it through. For the next 10 years, I poured my heart into teaching. I taught hundreds of kids, worked at all hours of the day and night, and lived for the moments of recognition that my efforts were making a difference in their lives. The problem was, that gut feeling I had in college never went away.

Now it didn’t happen overnight. I spent hours (if I’m being honest, more like years)  exploring, questioning, and talking to mentors about what my next move could be. Would I like the corporate world? Would they even hire a person with a teaching background? Would I even feel fulfilled in that world? Should I start my own business? That sounds scary and hard. But, I knew it was time to be brave and bet on myself.

Then virtual assistance landed in my lap, or I should say on my Instagram feed (Thanks Rachel Gibbs!). It was the perfect fit. I jumped right in taking courses, joining groups, and building my business from the ground up. Which is what brings me to today.

Then, I started my family. I married my best friend, got the puppies of my dreams, and on Leap Day, 2024, our daughter was born. This is when it clicked. I no longer wanted to settle, I wanted to build the life I really wanted, not just for myself, but for the most important people in my life, my family. To do this,  I needed to make more intentional decisions that would allow me to be more present, while still feeling fulfilled and excited about my job. 

It’s my mission to help small business owners reimagine how they use their time, simplify their tasks, and rediscover the joy in what they do and the life they are living.

Like me, I imagine this is something you desire as well.
